A Letter from our Principal

Dear Students, Parents/Guardians, and Community Members,

RBV welcomes you to the land of the Longhorns, where we expect “Excellence through Unity.” Our goal is for our students to achieve academic excellence and to be prepared for College and a Career.

I have three school-wide goals for all students:

  • ‚ÄčBe in class on time every period, every day
  • Do your work, earn your credits
  • Graduate on time prepared for college and/or a career

We need your support in making sure all students are successful. Please make sure your student attends every day and completes the assigned homework. A safe and orderly campus is a priority.

Our highly trained staff offers 20 Advanced Placement courses where students can earn college credit and  20 International Baccalaureate courses. We have a variety of excellent programs for students including but not limited to the following: honors, Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), English Learners, and Career certifications in 19 programs.

Students, get involved in your campus. We have a variety of sports and many clubs on campus. It is a great experience and gives you an edge on your college application.

We encourage you to be an active participant in your student’s education. We have an effective School Site Council and English Language Advisory Committee for parents to participate in. If you have any questions or would like to join one of our parent groups please call us at 760-727-7284.

I welcome your comments and suggestions.  Feel free to stop by or call me at 760-727-7284.

Sincerely,
Chuck Schindler
